Chilli Garlic Prawns
This garlic chilli prawns is a quick, punchy stir-fry recipe with juicy prawns tossed in a savoury, spicy sauce and finished with butter for a rich finish.
Cooked in the MAKO wok for that restaurant-style stir-fry. Designed for high-heat cooking and even tossing, it helps bring out delicious flavour and that irresistible wok-char in every bite. It’s quick, full of flavour, and perfect for busy weeknights or when you’re cooking for friends and family.
Ingredients
400g prawns, peeled & deveined
4–5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1–2 red chillies, sliced (adjust to taste)
2 tsp ginger julienne
2 tbsp oil (vegetable or neutral oil)
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sugar or brown sugar
1 tsp chilli flakes or chilli oil
1–2 tbsp water
Spring onions, sliced
Method
Prep everything first, so you have everything ready.
Heat your MAKO Wok, get it really hot, then add oil.
Add garlic, chillies, ginger and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add prawns in one layer and cook 1–2 mins each side until just pink.
Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, chilli oil and splash of water.
Toss everything together.
Finish and Serve
Add butter and toss until glossy.
Toss in the spring onions and serve hot.
