What Makes MAKO Non-Stick Different?
Non-stick pans have a place in every kitchen: they require less oil, are quick to clean and of course, nothing sticks to them. Not all non-stick pans are created equal though. Some have surfaces that aren’t particularly durable; others contain unhealthy chemicals. What makes MAKO Genius 5-Ply Plasma Non-stick so good?
What is MAKO Plasma Non-stick?
MAKO signature plasma non-stick is made using a unique high speed, high heat process to create a surface that’s extremely hard-wearing. This process creates a more adherent, longer lasting bond so unlike regular non-stick, MAKO is extremely durable, and it won’t lift, chip or flake.
What makes it so different?
An issue with traditional non-stick coatings is the way they’re bonded to the pan surface. Most of the time they end up coming away, chipping or flaking - causing harmful chemicals to be released into your food. We designed MAKO Non-stick pans with this in mind. MAKO Genius 5-Ply Plasma Non-stick cookware doesn’t contain PFOA, a potentially dangerous substance that has traditionally been used in non-stick coatings.
- MAKO Genius 5-Ply Plasma Non-stick features a cladded construction using copper, stainless steel and aluminium, making it the BEST you can get.
- Cladded cookware is hefty and durable, designed to provide optimum control and even heating. It’s not usually used with non-stick as it’s costly to manufacture.
- The solid 5-ply construction means your pans won’t warp, unlike some cheaper non-stick alternatives.
