The MAKO Black Steel 14 Wok is crafted using pre-seasoned black carbon steel for ultimate performance. By pre-seasoning the MAKO Black Steel 14, we’ve accelerated the seasoning process. Meaning your wok will perform as it should – immediately.

The MAKO Wok Lid has been designed to be the perfect partner to the MAKO Black Steel 14 Wok, opening up more possibilities for high-performance cooking techniques.

The MAKO Black Steel Steak Pan is made using durable, pre-seasoned black carbon steel to deliver a powerful, high-temperature sear. Lighter than cast iron and easier to manoeuvre, it gives unparalleled heat control for the perfect umami crust every time you use it.

The 4-piece MAKO Cookware Set is meticulously crafted for precision cooking. This thoughtfully curated set comprises a 16cm saucepan, an 18cm saucepan, a 24cm stock pot, and a 28cm essential pan, each equipped with its own matching lid to seal in flavours and nutrients.

The MAKO Genius Copper Non-Stick Frying Pan Set includes 20cm and 30cm frying pans, featuring MAKO's signature plasma non-stick coating, engineered to outlast traditional non-stick coatings by more than eight times**, ensuring durability and exceptional cooking performance. MAKO signature plasma non-stick has been designed to last more than eight times longer when compared to traditional non-stick coatings**. Mako Steak pan

Have found the more we use the pan the better quality result we get, doesn't matter what we are cooking steak, sausages, eggs bacon tomatoes or mushrooms it all comes up beautifully.

Amazing 🤩 pots

Love using these pots and pans! I’m a chef and I’ve used a lot of pots and pans in my time and these pots are a perfect choice for my kitchen. I was looking for heavy duty stainless steal pots. Finding out that the Mako range includes a 5 layer construction including a copper core was a rare and state of the art range and I instantly wanted them. Great heat distribution and they are the perfect size. I love the weight of them they are very sturdy. Easy to clean and look fantastic in my kitchen. I highly recommend these pots for any home cook or professional cook in any kitchen. I’m excited to cook more delicious food with them!

Hi Marion, Please answer two questions. 1/ How much lighter is your black carbon steel than cast iron? 2/ Do you sell Carbon Steel Seasoning Wax for when we need to reseason if the seasoning gets scrubbed off or they get some rust if not cared for properly? Thank you

H Elizabeth, our MAKO Black Steel wok is 1.6kg / 3.5lbs total weight. We currently don't have the seasoning wax available yet. But you could use a natural oil to reseason the wok after each use. It will also works fine.

Yes, because MAKO don’t use traditional chemical non-stick coatings, the range is free from all PFOAS or PTFEs.

I am considering purchasing a 28cm Essential pan and would like to understand the benefits of the non stick version as compared to the standard one. Obviously it has a non stick coating but how “non stick” is the original version? If it were used for making a meat bolognese sauce for example is there a significant difference? Do you have examples of recipes where the original version would not be suitable? My preference is the original. We have an induction cook top. Thank you Arna

Our non-stick pans feature a high-quality coating Plasma coating that is PTFE based. This material is renowned for its exceptional non-stick properties, which ensure that cooking and cleaning are both easy and efficient. Our coatings are engineered to meet stringent safety standards, so are completely safe for everyday cooking, and won't ever chip or flake. Our stainless steel pans are just as good, however, they require more oil to prevent sticking. For durability, performance, easy-care and heat conductivity, stainless steel can not be beat. Non-stick frying pans for when you don’t need really high heat. These require less oil and are easy-clean, but pay attention to the quality of the coating AND the interior construction. Both are compatible with all cooktops, so it is preference and what you are looking for in your kitchen.
