Crush, pound or grind with ease, using the sturdy, durable MAKO Mortar and Pestle. Made from high-quality granite, it comes with a beechwood base to keep it stable on your bench, preventing sliding and protecting your bench from scratching.

Easy the clean, the MAKO Mortar and Pestle features a roughened interior surface for effortless grinding. Deep sides prevent food spilling out and the generous 700ml capacity easily accommodates ingredients.

Our beechwood base is wipe clean only, while the granite component can be handwashed with warm, soapy water.

Best One I ever Own
One of the best investments in my kitchen! I've had a few mortar and pestles but they're not as good as the one that my mum owns, that she's been using since I was little (in North Borneo). I live in Australia now and can't find one that's good enough - until this! It's deep enough and has the right "curve" so the ingredients I'm pounding stays inside the m&p (instead of splattering everywhere). The weight is just nice and the wooden rest helps with stability. Also, I think the texture of this m&p makes grinding more effective. Got this during a promo so it's a double win!
